Harm Reduction

Harm reduction for substance use disorder focuses on minimizing the negative health, social, and legal impacts of drug use rather than requiring abstinence. It includes strategies like providing access to clean syringes, overdose prevention education, naloxone distribution, safe consumption spaces, and medication-assisted treatment. This approach meets people where they are, respects their autonomy, and aims to keep them alive and as healthy as possible while supporting pathways to recovery when they are ready.

We have narcan available on site for clients, friends, family, and the community. This included Narcan dispensing boxes available outside of both Bay City and Corunna locations. We have testing strips, lock boxes, wound care kits, as well as other harm reduction supplies upon request
